Antelope Meadows Elementary: Art Docent Program
Full Description:
The Art Docent program at Antelope Meadows brings
art into our classrooms. Volunteers visit each classroom
periodically throughout the school year, displaying
works of art by various artists, discussing the lives of
these artists, and facilitating the children’s creation of
their own works of art. These visits culminate in our
Annual Art Exhibition held during Open House. This program relies
entirely on volunteers willing to act as art docents, and donations to
purchase art supplies. As part of our ongoing efforts to raise funds for
this wonderful program, you will have the opportunity to “purchase”
your child’s work of art while on display in the multipurpose room
during Open House May 23rd. Simply stop by our table at this event
and tell and tell the attendant you would like to “purchase” the art
with your child’s name. We will gratefully accept any donations in
any dollar amount, and a “SOLD” sign will be placed on your
child’s work of art. Your child will benefit from the thrill of seeing
his or her artwork “SOLD.” The Art Docent Program also benefits
from you generous donation! when you visit our table, take a moment
to learn about the Art Docent Program and see of it is something you
could include in your personal schedule for the new school year.
